1. Have a high-fiber cereal for breakfast such as whole grain rasin bran or frosted shredded wheat.
 

2. Put any of these in your cereal and you’ll boost up your fiber intake by 1-2 grams: Bananas, Berries or raisins.
 
3. Include whole grain and enriched grain breads in your diet! When making a sandwich, do a 2 for 2; you can eat one slice of white bread and one slice of 100% whole wheat bread.

All grains originated from whole grains. After milling, if the germ, bran and endosperm are all in their proper amounts, then grains still qualify as whole grains.
 
The USDA Dietary Guidelines state that one serving of grain is equivalent to:
-A slice of 100% whole grain
-A half cup of 100% whole grain rice, cooked pasta, hot cereal or other grain.
-1 cup of 100% whole grain cereal.
